Water Street Doorway by Ursula Michael

I've started in a new cross stitch design. It's called Water Street Doorway by Ursula Michael. It's one of a series of 3 doorway designs. The one I'm currently working on is a blue door with hanging pots of flowers and potted plants to the left and right of the door. It's going to look pretty nice when it's completed. The next doors in the series are the River Road Doorway and the Church Street Doorway. I'll probably do all three just to apease my obsessive compulsive need to stitch.

After the Water Street Doorway, I have this really cute kit that features a kitty lying asleep on a bookshelf filled with books. The book lover in me really loves this one. I can't wait to get started.

As for the stained glass creation, if I haven't mentioned it, yes, it is complete. WooHoo! It feels very good to cross the completed items off my list.

Have a creative day!

Nearly finished....

I'm close to being finished with my stained glass creation. I have all the black back stitching done except for the horizontal lines. Then I just need to fill in the dark green and lt. green and I'll be fineto!

Stitching Away

I woke up early this morning and in my bleary-eyed delirium began stitching. Is anyone else fanatical like that? I'm working on 14 count Adia for my stained glass creation. It's quite a difference from my 25 count linen. I feel like that mouse in Cinderella who stabs her entire arm through the needle.

I was rifling through some of my old cross stitch designs and found one of an angel. In from of the Angel was the word "Angel". As I looked at it, I wondered how anyone could make the letters look like my own handwriting. When I set the angel aside to look further down the pile, it was then I realized that *I* had created the design. Has anyone ever done that? Design a cross stitch and completely forget you've done it? I even found a few more that I had designed.

I knew I had always wanted to design one, I didn't remember that I actually had.

Hope you're having a great day!

Finished Gathering Eggs by Mirabilia

I finally got my Blogger accts switched over. What a pain in the who-ha. I had to create an account at gmail just to log into my account.

But it's over now, WHEW!

And drum roll, please....

I completed the Gathering Eggs X-Stitch that I was working on.

It doesn't look exactly like the pattern at Mirabilia.com. The chart I had was from the 1998 issue of Cross Stitch & Needlework and it was flipped horizontal. . All the white flowers are on the right side instead of the left. I also did some improv on some of the coloring of her shirt. and the pink trees on the left. I guess it's okay to improv color since no one is going to see it but me. And maybe you if I ever get a digital camera. I'll try and scan it on my scanner to make it easier on me.

I'm working on a little stained glass cross stitch project to keep me busy until I find another large project I want to work on.

I've also been watercoloring some fae and angels. I have two works completed and a few more just sketched out. The Creative Muse has been with me this weekend. Yeah me!

Hope everyone is having a great day!

X-Stitch Crazy

I've been going on a really big creative jaunt. I'm almost done cross-stitching Mirabilia's Gathering Eggs. When the border's done, all I have left is some back stitching and a few half stitches.
